If you are a dog lover you won’t want to miss the Waggin’ Trail Dog Park at McCarty Park off of 86th Street north. The park offers large and small dog enclosures and I can honestly say our Australian Sheppard loves to play with other dogs there. The park offers a watering station and waste containment and removal as well as restroom facilities.
Rayola Park is also a family favorite with a large playground, covered picnic area, bathrooms and splash pad for the kids. Conveniently located between 86th and 76th street north on the service road next to the YMCA.
Centennial Park is also a great destination located on 86th street between 145th and 161st on the north side of the road. It offers a pond, creek, walking trails, bathrooms, playground, covered pavilion and a Frisbee golf course.
Elm Creek Park is a hidden gem, located between 76th and 86th street north in Elm Creek neighborhood. It offers a tennis court, walking trails, pond for fishing, playgrounds and swings, bathrooms, covered shelters and a large field great for family act ivies.
Funtastic Island is exactly what the name implies! A fabulous playground with loads of play options. It also has a covered pavilion and bathrooms.
Across the way is also Owasso’s Veteran Memorial, a lovely tribute to our Armed forces.
Behind Funtastic Island is Owasso Sport Complex north and south with soccer, football and baseball fields and bathroom facilities.
Owasso Skate Park is located on south main street and offers hours fun for all thing’s wheels.
